Authorities say we have just seen the beginning of winter storms in Seattle. The winds that blew the power off on Dec 14th have weekend most of the strongest trees here which may not be able to bear even a mild wind also. This can cause power outages also. Be prepared with the emergency kit till we see the Sun here.

Fresh batteries
Wind-up clock
Portable radio
Mylar blankets
Knife and manual can-opener
Warm Clothes
A supply of canned and dry food is recommended along with surge protectors for sensitive electronic equipment.
