Back in my native place, seems like its raining like crazy. There is water every where and this is not good for anyone but snails and other such creatures. My friend Alice, Sankar and I were having dinner and having a chat when Alice was talking about snails in her garden.
They show up when it starts raining and when flowers start blooming. These snails eat not just the flowers; they eat the entire plant. I heard snails like lilies most.
Did you know that snails have both male and female sets of sex organs and they can become both impregnate and become pregnant at the same time. They need a partner; they can’t do it by themselves — but they can get each other pregnant as partners. Snails are hermaphroditic, so of course they reproduced like crazy. The slimes that snail leave behind them as they crawl are the mucus that they secrete as a protective mechanism for their foot.
The enemies of snails are probably ducks and chicken and yes of course hot climate, I guess. You don’t see snails in hot and dry places.
Snails drink beer a lot. Seems like some ppl keep beer bottles in their garden. The snails can smell them from far and crawl to the garden. Snails are attracted to yeast, so they will drink it, get drunk, fall into pans of beer and drown. This way you can save your garden.
